According to the latest update, the Mumbai airport officials have announced that it is mandatory for all domestic passengers arriving in the city to present a negative RT-PCR test report at the time of boarding the flight.
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in its official statement mentioned that this rule will be effective from May 15 and there would be no exemptions in place.
The RT-PCR sample collection should have been done within 48 hours of the scheduled time of landing at Mumbai airport. Meanwhile, passengers not having RT-PCR test will not be allowed to board the airlines, stated the order.
Earlier, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a letter addressed to the Airline station managers and CEOs of various airlines including Go Air, Indigo, Vistara, SpiceJet, etc., and had directed them to mention the government directions about compulsory negative RT- PCR test on the ticket.
This comes after the Maharashtra government extended the lockdown-like restrictions till June 1. In its order, the government also said that any person entering the state will have to carry a negative RT-PCR report issued up to 48 hours prior to their entry.

Moreover, milk collection, transport and processing may be allowed without restrictions. However, its retail sale will only be allowed subject to restrictions imposed on shops dealing with essential items or through home delivery, said the order.
